Prevelo crank lengths are custom sized for each size bike to make sure little riders have optimum pedal ergonomics. And they have ultra-narrow Q-factors to match the narrow hips of young cyclists. If that sounds like technical mumbo jumbo, here's the point - Prevelo cranks will help make small riders more comfortable and efficient on their bike.
BOXT Rear Stays and Forged Dropouts
Kids are going to put their bikes through the ringer, so Prevelo bikes are built kid tough with robust BOXT rear chainstays and seat stays, and BMX track style forged dropouts that shroud the rear axle.
Confidence Inspiring Geometry
The Alpha One features Prevelo's signature confidence inspiring geometry. Prevelo geometry utilizes a low bottom bracket that lowers the center of gravity of the bike and rider, making for a more agile and confident ride.
Kid Friendly Hubs
The hubs are equipped with rounded axle bolts that minimize hard edges. And because kids are going to run their bikes through muck, the hubs have rubber seals to keep out dirt and grime.
Kid Optimized Cockpit
This is where little riders command these steed. It's decked out with ultra small diameter grips and short reach brake levers that are optimized for small hands.
Low Standover Height
A low minimum seat height and dropped top tube help accomodate the smallest riders.
The 14" Alpha One is the smallest pedal bike in the Prevelo lineup and fits most 3 to 4.5 year olds. It's packed with features to get little riders off to the right start, including:
- Prevelo confidence inspiring low and narrow geometry. Prevelo geometry keeps the rider low, balanced and in control.
- Lightweight 6061 aluminum frame with custom formed tubing.
- Lightweight aluminum alloy fork with chromoly steerer.
- Front and rear v-brakes with small reach brake levers.
- Rear coaster brake (removable with optional freewheel kit).
- Front hub with low profile rounded hex bolts and no harsh edged nuts for little legs to knock against.
- Three piece crank with squared taper cartridge bearing bottom bracket and ultra narrow Q factor.
- Double chain wheel guard.
- Custom made cranks. All Prevelo cranks are sized specifically for each model bike, down to the millimeter.
- 95% assembled. Just install the handlebar, seatpost and pedals.
