Also, please note if you have a big bike (large or XL or just a long bike like a Forbidden Dreadnought, that the stock hose may not be long enough!).   Lewis ships with 165mm length hose (some other brands offer 190mm).  165mm is plenty for most, but like I said, there are some exceptions.  Lewis does offer options for longer hoses to be purchases separate, contact us with questions

I love these brakes!  I've had them on my personal bike(s) since last fall testing them before I wanted to bring them into our shop to sell.  I've been super impressed with them.  My previous brake experience was XT, Guides, G2, Code RSC, Lewis.  By far, the best brakes I've owned.  They feel like much more expensive brakes.  Build quality is superb, feel is incredibly light yet bites like crazy when you want it.  The bite control is easy to adjust and feel (much better than the SRAM wheel thing on their higher end brakes with contact adjustment)

Some Key takeaways from my experience:

• Use mineral oil (no DOT here)
• Easy to bleed.  I only have done quick lever bleeds and air came right out on first try and haven't had to bleed since
• Hose and barb and olive do not require you to cut and re-install a new barb and olive which is a huge plus for me as I change bikes fairly often and it is a pain to have to cut everytime (and expensive) when you switch bikes.
• Metal pistons move very smoothly without friction like I've experience with Shimano and SRAM
• Uses Hope brake pads so pretty easy to find and replace
