We are fans of 1x drivetrains especially for beginners so on this one, we upgraded these 2 Bobcats to a 1x8 Microshift Acolyte drivetrain with clutch derailleur and with a 12-46t cassette so still plenty of range for Houston area trails.  Shimano Cues Narrow Wide Crankset
